Hey everyone!! I'm writing to you because I am no longer at Limon Salon as of June 16th. As you all know I was renting my station which means I was a contracted employee. For the past year the salon had been going through a lawsuit battle between two owners and on June 15th it finally ended and became acquired by one of the old owners and a new business partner who also happened to be a stylist in the salon. Since I have been working there this particular stylist named Ivo has had a personal issue with me which was never resolved in a professional matter. When the matter was brought up to the management staff to try to resolve any issues it was ignored and pushed aside. Now knowing that he was acquiring 50/50 ownership of the salon it has become clear to me why the other owner chose to not resolve any matter between their employees or contracted employees.
So to this day I have no clue what his issue is with me. As many of you know and have seen, all I do when I come to work is work from 11am - 8pm, a majority of the time I'm double booking. I'm a very busy stylist in the salon and it comes by no surprise base on my work ethics, talent, and who I am as a person. I've always been an extremely reliable person and the huge following and clientele that I have grown in the last 9 years I've been doing hair is the product of it. So having my contract as an independent contractor terminated based on something that has nothing to do with my work ethics is a HUGE shock to me. As a matter of fact in the last 13 years I've worked in my life, I have never once been "fired" from any establishment.
Anyhow on June 16th Ivo and Carlos, the two new owners terminated my contract at Limon Salon without giving me any notice and now not only am I out of a salon to work for the time being, but my clients as well are in a sticky situation. For some of you who have appointments coming up, I'm trying to figure this out as soon as possible. This all came during bad timing. I'm leaving for Hawaii and will not be back till next week and was supposed to be working on June 24th when I come back. For those who have appointments on that day, you may either go to Daisy at the salon or wait till I figure this all out, but as many of my clients have been telling me, they will unfortunately not be seeing Daisy as it will be supporting Limon Salon and they have chosen to not give that salon their business. I do have a few meetings lined up with salons in the area and I'm looking forward to a new beginning.

I'm deeply disappointed at the way Limon Salon has chosen to handle this matter as they have chosen to give me only 3 days to try to gather my belongings and go. At this moment they are not allowing me any access to any of my client information which I have worked so hard to build. It's greatly disappointing to know that an establishment that I trusted to bring my business and my clients over has done this to me. NONE of the other salons I have worked at in the past has ever treated me in this manner. It's pretty disgusting. So please bare with me and I hope to see you soon!
