LIFE // Work on Love

My husband and I are not lavish spenders when it comes to giving gifts for Christmas, we try our best to focus on what's really needed in our lives and relationships to start the next year off with something that will inspire and rekindle he fire within one another. This year my husband gave me a set of journals that we both will do together called "What I love about you." Often times as parents married couples forget to connect soul to soul with one another because they are busy taking care of the family and household.

Towards the tail end of this year Jonathan and I became so busy with our own separate lives that our lives together almost felt like we were just going through our days checking off items on our "to-do" lists. Dates became rare and conversations were more like check ins. Yeah we would have our couch movie night but, they weren't enough. I'm so excited about these books and I'm hoping that we will both be able to continue our new tradition and work on filling in the blanks in our new journals.

It's important to make time for all aspects of your life including love. Just like fitness in order for it to thrive you have to work on it every day not just when its needing the extra attention. Keep all the aspects in your life healthy and strong including motherhood and marriage.

I’m a mother of two beautiful daughters and married to a man who completes me. I started my fitness journey as a way to heal my soul and launched my blog in hopes to continue to inspire and empower women to use fitness as a tool to heal depression and find their self worth. I strongly believe that each woman deserves to be in love with herself just as much as her man does. I have an obsession with reusable water bottles, I enjoy action movies, and I’m in love with burpees.
