Have you ever noticed how you feel after you declutter or clean your space? Do you feel more uplifted, lighter, or a little happier? When you clear your environment, tie up loose ends, and mend relationships, you have more natural energy for a happy, healthy, and productive life.
It’s no surprise that decluttering your physical space can create a positive effect on your mood and outlook of the day. Some Feng Shui experts claim that memories of events in the form of energy can be stored in belongings, furniture, and even in buildings or homes. De-cluttering can help clear the energy of said historic traumatic events.
We set the intention that #highwoodhaus was going to be a place that cultivated harmony. With this in mind we became more mindful of how we act, what we say, and how we live in our new home. This all just seemed to make sense, after all we were mindful of what we put into our bodies and wanted to be mindful of the environment we were creating as well from the type of furniture we were going to source in the home all the way to the cleaning products we would begin to use.
When it comes to most natural or green home cleaning products only 7% fully disclose their contents which has made it a challenge for us to go all natural at home because of it. Which is why I was so excited when Saje Wellness launched their Home Cleaning Line! It’s no surprise how much I love Saje Wellness products, after all they were the first brand that had me believing in the healing power of plants.
Product Review on Saje Wellness Home Cleaning
One of the things I appreciate most about the Saje Wellness Home Cleaning line is their dedication to transparency which is why they list every single ingredient in their packaging allowing me to have peace of mind when little Miss Olivia wants to be helpful and clean around the house. Her first comment when cleaning with the prodcuts was “Hmmm, it smells like Saje.” I secretly love that my kids are so aware of this brand!
I got to try out 5 of the 21 products within the Saje Wellness Home Cleaning line. Two different scented dish soaps, Multi-Clean (a multi-purpose cleaning spray), Bathroom Bright, and my personal favorite, Glistening Glass. The three sprays can also be purchased in a conveniently packaged Spring Clean kit.
We’re constantly cleaning the smudges of prints off of the glass in our living room and the Glistening Glass has been one of my favorites because its plant-based and since its the ingredients are natural I don’t have to worry about filling my home with harmful chemicals from the constant wipe down of the windows and it keeps my windows streak free. Unlike other natural home cleaning lines I’ve used in the past.
As I mentioned we’ve become more mindful of the way we furnish our new home which also means that a lot of the furniture we’re buying for the new space is made of eco materials and sustainably sourced. Multi-Clean gives me peace of mind that I’m treating the furniture investments with a little more tender loving care.
Before moving into our new home we went through a major de-cluttering of our physical space. We donated and cleared out a lot of belongings that we knew were no longer going to serve our purpose or give us joy in our new home. A method developed by Marie Kondo, the KonMari Method is one that we not only use for cleaning house, but also decluttering our lives as well.
We started to ask our selves this simple question when it comes to things we want to buy, keep in our lives, relationships or old mindsets; “Does it serve my purpose or bring me joy?” Living with this mindset has helped us bring more mindfulness into my life both personally and professionally. I often ask myself this question when it comes to taking on new projects, opportunities, and even when it comes to how I approach my overall well being.
In honor of Saje Wellness’ Home Cleaning Launch, we’re partnering together on giving TWO lucky winners the entire Home Cleaning Line which includes! For rules on how to participate check out my Instagram.
