LIFE: You have what it takes...

Have you ever wondered: “Do I have what it takes? Can I make major lifestyle changes? Will there be a day where I will finally be comfortable and confident in my own skin? Will it be worth it?”

Over a year ago I met with my fitness coach Huong Ho at Imago Fitness. I sat down with her, shared my honest and deepest frustrations, and let out tears of sadness. I finally was honest with my self about my self image issues and I became so determined to change how I viewed myself.

Roadblocks will happen in any journey, especially a #fitnessjourney. Just the other day someone asked me, “How do you totally wipe the road blocks out of your head?”

My answer, I tell myself this: I DESERVE TO BE HAPPY, I DESERVE TO BE COMFORTABLE AND CONFIDENT IN MY OWN SKIN. No one else can give me this, not my husband, not my kids, no material things can ever provide me this feeling of self confidence. I AM IN CONTROL OF THIS, I CAN MAKE THE CHANGE.

Each moment when I am ready to give up, to give in, to stop trying I look back at photos where I was not only my biggest, but the unhappiest. I look back at photos where I was so uncomfortable in my own body and this is enough to remind me that I don’t want to be that person again.

Keep pushing on, keep going, stay determined, make the changes. Remember you have the ability to take control of your life: to be healthy and happy. No one else can give that to you. You have to take it.

I’m a mother of two beautiful daughters and married to a man who completes me. I started my fitness journey as a way to heal my soul and launched my blog in hopes to continue to inspire and empower women to use fitness as a tool to heal depression and find their self worth. I strongly believe that each woman deserves to be in love with herself just as much as her man does. I have an obsession with reusable water bottles, I enjoy action movies, and I’m in love with burpees.
