DO // New Coach, New Goals

Earlier this year I was in search for a new health and fitness coach and reached out to Michelle Mein  of Handsome Muscle. Michelle offers both lifestyle fitness and nutrition coaching as well as competition prep and what I hired her for was to prep me to step on stage this year. She took my nutrition and #workouts to an entirely new level.

When I came to her from my precious coach I was on a very low carb and nutrition deficient diet, much too low to gain any lean muscle mass which was my goal for this year. The meal plan I was on was good for losing weight, but that was no longer my goal. I wanted to step on stage not looking "flat" and wanted to retain a "fuller" appearance. With the adjustments made to my meals and workouts I was able to lean as well as build strong legs and a booty I never had. I felt strong again and felt like I could push myself in my workouts which had been something I lacked towards the end of working with my previous coach.

She has shown an incredible amount of dedication and professionalism to all her athletes during Contra Costa NPC Show, making sure to check in on us before we hit the stage and voice out her gratitude for placing our journeys into her hands along with the positive constructive criticism to know what areas of improvement we can work on. The confidence in all I do as an athlete and as a woman has grown ten fold because of her encouragement and empowerment.

I knew she was the right coach for me the moment she said #letsdothis! There's something about those 3 words that I knew I could trust and I can't wait to continue my fitness journey pushing past new goals with Michelle!

Advice from my coach: "Embrace the process. Patience is key and even when your results are not visible yet it is definitely happening. You just need to give it some time and enjoy the journey.  Nothing is more rewarding than setting a goal and accomplishing it.  Better yet surpassing it!  My motto is if you set a goal you MUST be ready to give it your all and go ALL IN. Don’t sell yourself short because you are stronger physically and mentally than you think."
