Not too long ago I was introduced to YogaGlo and I’ve become obsessed! YogaGlo is an online subscription platform that brings yoga straight into your living room. I’m not the “at home workout” type, but what I’ve come to appreciate about YogaGlo is that I don’t have to drive to my closest studio to get a really incredible class in.
Over the next few months I’m partnering with Swell Foods to help them do the same. I first heard of Swell Ice Cream when they were ProYo, as a matter of fact I would eat ProYo as a treat during my competition prep. Me and the founder’s stories are actually pretty similar, which is one of the reasons why I was even more excited to partner with this brand.
To all my fitness girls out there. Have you ever gone shopping with the intention to buy “normal people” clothing and walked out with workout leggings and sneakers instead?
Hmmm...Never happens right?! JK It happens to me every single time and kicking myself in the butt for not picking up something to wear to a non fitness related function. The struggle is real.
I recently was introduced to Trunk Club and I wish I had found it sooner. Funny enough when I told my husband about it he was like, “Oh yeah I know about them…” I looked at him and was like “WTF...where have I been"? Now on to the review...
Do you remember a time when opinions of others didn’t matter? Hmmm...what was that answer?
The older I get the less time I seem to have, and when I do find the time I really feel the necessity to invest in taking care of myself by slowing down and hitting the pause button. It’s so easy to fall into the trap, get caught up with what other people are doing, and how they’re living their life. Sadly, what screws us up the most in our life is this picture in our head of how it’s supposed to be.
One day it just clicks… you realize what’s important and what isn’t. You learn to care less about what other people think of you and more about what you think of yourself. You realize how far you’ve come and you remember when you thought things were such a mess that you would never recover. And you SMILE. You smile because you are truly proud of yourself and the person you’ve fought to become.
Anxiety happens when we worry about the future, planning for it, and trying to predict it, as if figuring it out now will cushion the blow. The thing is the future is always changing and will always be a place of uncertainty and fear. But the future can also be the home of our wildest dreams and hopes. Don’t hold yourself back because of something you cannot control, instead adapt. The quicker you can learn to adapt and redirect time and energy the easier it become to get things things you value in life accomplished. Looking back at the past only causes us to ruminate over things we cannot change. Give yourself grace. Failures are an opportunity for us to reflect on what we did and how we failed, so we can change the mindset and path in the present moment.
A lot of my self reflection happens in those few moments I get to pause, while I’m home lounging around in comfy clothes like this new lounge wear from Third Love. It’s when I can strip off any of the fictitious labels that workout clothes puts on me as a fitness blogger or influencer and I can just think for myself. It’s funny how clothing can do that to a person, but it does. We often say “here are my regular people clothes” when referring to items that are not exercise gear so I guess I’ll label my lounge wear as “my pausing from life” clothes.
Third Love recently launched loungewear which is awesome because there are days where I just don’t want to be in workout clothing and silky PJs is just a little extra. It’s made with seamless bamboo, which means no itchy seams and naturally antimicrobial to keep you dry and cool.
ThirdLove is an internet based company who utilizes tech in order to help you find the perfect bra fit from the comfort of your own home. They even offer bras with half-sized cups which is incredible because I feel like I’m one of the 50% of women who fall between standard cup sizes. To start, you can take the Fit Finder Quiz.
ThirdLove let’s you Try Before You Buy (choosing from one of their best selling bras: 24/7 Classic T-Shirt bra, 24/7 Classic Full Coverage bra or 24/7 Push Up bra) or my personal favorite the Longline Lace Balconette Bra. You just pay for shipping and try it out (even wash it) for 30 days. If you like it, you keep it and if you don’t like it, you can return it and the bra is donated to both local San Francisco charities and women’s charities through their Bras for All program where they’ve given over $1 million worth of bras to women in need since 2013.
Thanks to ThirdLove, a brand I love and trust, for sponsoring this post. Partnerships like this make GOFITJO possible.

I couldn’t be more excited to share with you today’s post. In part, because I’m a bit of a beauty product junkie and a nerd about all things science and art. But mostly because I get to let you in on my skincare secret sauce, Biossance!
The more and more I learn about holistic health, how we nourish our bodies with certain foods and ingredients; I’m also discovering the importance of the ingredients within skincare products as well. Let me first preface that I’m not going in the direction of non-toxic skincare or lifestyle, but I’m building a lot more awareness on some of the products that can potentially cause harm to our bodies and environments. Unfortunately, some of those things can be found in what we put on our skin.
Biossance has been able to create 100% plant based squalane sustainably from sugarcane. Not only is it sustainable, but it instantly hydrates from head to toe locking in essential moisture. Squalane has been proven to better accelerate skin cell turnover by 53%. It’s the absolute perfect addition to my skincare regiment since I’ve been experiencing more dryness in my skin as I age. On top of their science based skincare, Biossance has also done their part in making sure that the products they produce are created with higher standards by banning over 2,000 potentially harmful ingredients from their products. An incredible achievement considering that the Personal Care Regulation in the U.S. only bans 11 and Europe over 1,300. Personally, I just find that amazing because as much as I really want to be more aware about all these potentially harmful ingredients I just don’t have the time to do all that research. Below are a few of the Biossance products I’ve been using and love.
The first Biossance product I used was their trusted 100% Squalane Oil, which you can use all over your face, body, and hair. When I first got this product it was just the beginning of my face oil journey and I wasn’t quite sure about putting oil on my face considering all the things I learned about skincare in my 20s, which were don’t use oil, use cream. So instead I used it on my hair. After a few uses I couldn’t believe what it did for my beat up coif so I started to use their Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil for my face. It’s been my trusted travel partner throughout all my recent summer trips and has helped keep my skin hydrated under all the sun exposure.
Next is the Squalane + Probiotic Gel, an incredibly lightweight moisturizer that instantly calms the redness on my face. Something needed especially after a sweaty SoulCycle class. It’s left my face brighter and more balanced and lately I’ve been able to go bare face more and more because of how incredible it’s made my skin look and feel.
The last one is new to my life, it’s the Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel and let me just tell you. The bags I wear under my eyes are not designer they are from a little bit of lack of sleep from all the studying I’ve had to do this past year. I haven’t been using their eye gel for too long, but from what I can tell it’s helping to reduce the puffiness and sagginess.
I just recently learned about the standards that Biossance has created for themselves as a company and I think it’s incredible. If we hold ourselves up to high standards when it comes to how we live our lives, we probably should do the same with our skincare and the beauty industry, right?
This post was created in collaboration with Biossance, as always, all words, opinions, and photography are my own.
