I almost didn't get this out this evening, mostly because I spent all day in bed sick with some weird stomach bug and writing a blog post just didn't seem to be a priority. But here I am getting my Weekend Leftovers out because despite this weekend's Bay Area forecast looking like major crap, I had a weekend filled with sunshine.
As some of you guys remember from a handful of my IG Story rants, the hubs was gone for an entire week with his dudes hence the 13 hour trip to LA. I loved having the house full of estrogen but of course, we love our main dude and we're so thrilled to be complete again!
Friday 04.31 - Girls Night in at my house
I can't even put to words how important these women are to my life. They have been my workout buddies, keep me in check buddies, and just a few of the core women I run to when I need to cry and to celebrate some of my latest weird accomplishments. What's crazy is that never did I imagine that starting a blog or Instagram account to share my fitness would help me gain some of the world's richest treasures.
05.01 - Saturday
Jonathan came home from Dude Valley, his boy trip. We were the complete Adobo Fam all over again and it felt amazing. Olivia missed him so much that she created a cute little welcome home sign. Since it was 80 degrees and gorgeous we ran off to Smitten Ice Cream to cool off.
We spent the rest of the day talking about Dude Valley and his adventures in the desert with a huge group of talented wedding, life style, and commercial photographers. I mean when 11 photographers get together to run around Death Valley in 2 RVs there are bound to be some stories. One of Jon's passions is shooting astrophotography, something I am always in awe with when I see his work.
Sunday 04.02 - South Bay BBG Meet Up
My ladies hosted a meet up this past weekend and it was so great to see some familiar faces and to make new friends. Many thanks to the hubs for coming along after a tiring trip to photograph our Feel Good, Do Good. In a lot of the brain storming conversations about this meet up we talked about how incredibly impactful a group of women can be when they are doing something for the community at large. I mean you see it all over Instagram with BBG Community as a whole and so we thought, what if we gathered for a different purpose. What if we gathered to not only sweat, but to give back to a community that has served us. Feel Good, Do Good was a fitness gathering benefiting Planned Parenthood. The goal was to raise $300 and we all blew that goal out of the water and raised $640.
The energy of the room was contagious. You can feel the love, the positivity, and the community sweating together for a cause! Feel Good, Do Good definitely set the tone for the upcoming week. Check out the rest of the photos from the event here.
